Just What Is Planned For The Xbox Halo Franchise
Halo: Reach is the upcoming (and final) chapter from current developer studio Bungie, bringing to an end their reign over the Xbox Halo franchise. Set in 2552 on the controlled planet Reach, and players once more don the Spartan armour as Noble 6 and, together with Noble Squad, the player is tasked with defending their planet from the onslaught known as the Covenant. Moreover, Halo: Reach will be a prequel to Bungie’s first award winning “Halo: Combat Evolved” game.
Originally designed to be an updated version of the Xbox Halo franchise mammoth Halo 3, the notion was dropped, Bungie urging they would redesign and improve the calibre of the Halo 3 designs. Referring back to the Halo: Combat Evolved production designs, thiseffectively means the new weapon, armour and enemy designs in Halo: Reach will differ greatly from past installments but uphold the spirit of the Xbox Halo franchise.
Stating that they will not cap the Xbox Halo franchise without a bang, the company are looking to dramatically improve the visual quality of all gaming areas, right down to the weaponry. This clearly required Bungie to create an all new engine in Halo: Reach, with the AIbeing improved and nudged to deliver better support for the player as they battle the Covenant.
So following all these promises of fusing greatly improved graphics and improved AI and designs, will Bungie leave the Xbox Halo Franchise with a bang and cement their reputation for creating the finest FPS for the Xbox 360? The way to be sure is to grab a copy when it is released later this year!
